MOWE integrates the principles of sustainability defined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which was adopted by the United Nations (UN) in 2015. These objectives are essential to promote economic development, address various social needs, such as education, health care, social security and employment opportunities.

20 years of milestones in the renewable energy industry

For almost two decades, we have been committed to generating renewable electricity through clean and innovative solutions. Notable examples include the creation of the first 100% wind regulation zone in Europe,

the implementation of the first power purchase agreement (PPA) in our country through our subsidiary Enérgya, and the foundation of the first fully renewable regulation zone, which marked the first energy agreement with a photovoltaic plant.

Energy transition

The energy transition is a fundamental process that involves a significant change in the energy system of a country, a region or even globally. This change seeks not only to tackle the challenges of climate change, but also to ensure long-term environmental sustainability. To achieve this, it is essential to progressively replace fossil fuels, which are one of the main sources of greenhouse gas emissions, with sources of renewable energy.

At MOWE, we are firmly committed to this energy transition. Our project portfolio focuses on power generation trough renewable sources such as wind and solar energy. In doing so, we are not only contributing to reduce the carbon footprint, but also promoting environmental sustainability and helping to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Our commitment is not limited to the mere production of renewable energy, but also covers the promotion of sustainable practices in all our processes. This includes responsible management of natural resources, minimisation of waste and the adoption of clean technologies in our operations.
